New 2023 Lead Statutes in Connecticut

New lead statutes will begin in Connecticut on January 1, 2023.
Over a three year period, inspections will be conducted at lower levels. Additionally, Connecticut will adopt the CDC’s level of concern of 3.2 micrograms per deciliter.
A three-part webinar for local health departments will be held during National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week (NLPPW). Presentations will include information on waste disposal, state funding available for abatement, and housing court referrals.
The Connecticut Department of Health licensure suspension has ended. All related disciplines must renew their certifications/license by November 10, 2022 to be compliant.
